I’m drinking my coffee , you’re drinking your tea

It’s hopping tonight , they’re bringing them in

A busy day , I guess I could stay , it’s such a long ride home anyway 

The works never through , but I can make do

In the midnight madness of these  moments that we share 

And I could be  in heaven if I’m with you any where 

Let’s go for a walk it’s warm out tonight 

We’ve got a short break the volume is light

A SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE 

I’ll tell you what I’m  thinking , What I’ve been dreaming of 

It seems That I’ve been granted, A second chance at love ,

I feel so triumphant , it took me by surprise 

And life now seems so wonderful , When I look into her eyes 

They say we all believe in someone , Will she believe in me

Still I feel apprehensive , nervous some would say

I don’t how it happened , I’m not good at the game

RIGHT ON TIME 

Driving , Driving to see you , The Trees are blooming 

And there’s a warm breeze , that is blowing through 

And I’m thinking about you 

Then my attentions drawn to a call that’s ringing on my phone 

First it’s one thing , and then  it’s two things it 

And then it’s three things . its just so many that I must go back 

Sorry that I can come see you , But I thing about all the time 

That we were together , Oh it’s so fine 

 I’m  sure you remember , Thinking about what I wound consider

Or just flying a plane to a place that , I like the most

UNEXPECTED LOVE

It has been determined Beyond all doubt , that she’s guilty of one thing 

opening my life 

On this point heres my position , what I believe , I’ll tell you , here is my find 

Like a soldier coming back from battle , weary tired and cold opens up his eyes. 

And to his surprise Lies a great sunrise , filled with gold and mermaids and. alibis 

Oh yes in possible but it’s what I’m dreaming who can believe this new sensation it’s an unexpected love 

Oh yes it’s possible what I’ve been dreaming of , No ordinary love affair it comes from very far above. 

I have no doubts or confusion’s or uncertainties , from up here all looks quite fine 

She’s a tune just looking for the right , words , Words I’ve had all along 

Full of storm and drawn , no I can’t be wrong , To which will belong 

the first perfect fit with which we willl create a song

AGAIN 

Just 21 but I'm already old , It's strange how being burned can leave you feeling cold  

Followed my heart it led me to a trap  , And when I hit the wall that's when it hit me back 

Again again I won't fall in love again , I won't let that one mistake become two 

again again but if I fall in love again , I'm  wondering if you'll  fall therewith me tooit's something we could do  

Just biding time and lying low , I was shellshocked I had no place to go 

Life is strange how could I have known  , That you would sabotage my plans to be alone

So I will take off my winter coat , and take off my shoes

DOWN IN THE FLATS 

Something was right, it was late last Saturday night, , It was cool down by the river side 

We jumped into our car, tho we didn’t have to travel far , that speed ,we might as well have flied 

Anticipation filled the air, most everyone was there , For fun rhythm and desire 

But when the  music got loud, that party grew into a crowd 

And they danced,  like they were on fire 

Oh back by the window on the right , there was this lady staring at the moonight 

Smiling with eyes of blue , Her story you could not ignore 

 Just like the others out on the floor , The loneliness seemed to shine right through 

You see this one was wrong, and the other took too long , and the third , well he just wouldn’t do 

And did I have the time ,for glass of wine , while out on the floor the crowd grew two by two 

And there is gonna be  party down in the flats tonight 

So put on your dress shoes get ready to dance, , Tonite’s the night to find romance 

This time break free with the flow , Cause  tomorrow you never know 

On this side of town that’s just way things go 

Way on down the street you can heat the rumbling beat , Happy hour at the  Paradise blue 

It was crowded , lights were bright ,m But the band packed them in tight 

Sounding louder than a new York avenue 

They came in blues and greens, and some in limousines , n sports cars vans and pickups too 

If they  had things on their minds , That they’d leave those thoughts behind 

Cause when the music started that was all the world they knew 

And meanwhile in the bar , He waved hi to her from afar 

With a smile and asuit that looked brand new 

Could he really be the one, her gallant knight,  her rising sun m, Or would the boy next door just have to do 

So come on down and find where working souls unwind , talk about how tough  these times have really been 

 but Sunday rolls around , there’s solace to be found , Because in six days the world will shake again
